What the heck is Cre8ive Soup?

You may be asking yourself  "What the heck is Cre8ive Soup?! Is it food and what does that have to do with about being creative?"

Perhaps you're thinking the author of this blog must be just a tad daft, or maybe it's you, the reader, and somehow you're just missing the reference and that's why you're a little lost in the understanding of what this blog is about and why it has such a funny name.

Well, for starters, it isn't just you and as for the muddled name that seems a mishmash of two completely unrelated words, that is exactly the point!

Cre8ive Soup is a melange of ideas and resources written by a frugal small business owner with a creative mind (and the attention span of a breadbox mixed with the excitement of a sugared-up child with A.D.H.D.).

This blog about being creative, which if you are one of the 'chosen' you already know (by all the half-finished art projects in your closet, the never realized "Grand Ideas" or the lists of things you really, REALLY want to try and focus on .....until the next idea comes along anyway...) that we creatives are a rare breed and some people just don't "get" us. 

Heck, even we sometimes don't get ourselves, but no-one has to! 

Others just have to accept all of the things that fall by the wayside in lieu of our latest craze, the general and complete disaster of our creative spaces (and any other flat surface that is to us, at least, organized and acceptable as part of our creative process) and find a way to deal with our mountain of half finished craft projects and listen as we drone on about our latest ideas with frenzied excitement.

It is my hope that Cre8ive Soup prove a valuable resource, not only designers and small business owners, but that we also inspire entrepreneurial spirits, artists and creatives. 

Our mission is simple: 

To be not only a resource of great tools, tips and information for the novice and the professional alike, but also to showcase products and ideas that lead others to create; whether it be a personal blog, small business website, community newsletter or school project to the creative transformation of an idea into something beyond what one believed one could do.
